In 2004, Dr. Imme Gerke, then Canadian Minor Use Advisor, proposed the creation of a Global Needs List for plant protection problems in order to allow for growers around the globe to get access
to safer and more efficient tools (See Dr. Gerke's original Proposal). It started as an uphill battle but here it finally is: the world GLOBAL NEEDS DATABASE. Thank you for your perseverance and dedication to address world hunger!
